MARCH 5: The previously announced and delayed Exxon/Imperial test shipment, which was most recently rescheduled for March 7th, has again been delayed and, according to the Lewiston Tribune, "no departure date is on the books." According to early summer IO documents, the test load would weigh 100,00+ pounds; now the company has announced the load weighs 500,000+ pounds. Thus the "test load" that was originally said to be a "mock-up" appears now to be an actual super-weight load. It's dimension are 24' wide, 30' tall, 208' long, and its transport through Idaho would, theoretically, take 3 nights. It has already been okayed by ITD. According to the Tribune, the test module can be disassembled once it reaches the Montana border. As you know, IO is currently cutting in half the 33 modules stored at the Port of Lewiston for shipment on an alternate route, but ITD claims IO hasn't yet asked ITD about using any road other than U.S.12 for those 33. Theoretically, one of them is the so-called "test load."
